Easy Candy Corn Snack Mix Recipe – Make Candy Corn Even Better!

Disclosure Affiliate

When fall and Halloween rolls around, it’s always nice to have a party treat that super easy to put together. That’s exactly what you get with this candy corn snack mix recipe. Know the best part of it? It takes less than 5 minutes to make, but you end up with something a bit unique that’s a step above bringing a pre-bagged mix. What’s better than a “homemade” treat that isn’t much harder than opening a few packages?!?!

In all seriousness, the fun and easy thing about this snack mix recipe is that it can be used for Halloween or any autumn occasion and you can get a bit creative to add in some of your favorite treats to the mix. Our standard mix is made with candy corn, peanuts and M&M’s, but that is just a starting point! Just a few of the things you can add are marshmallows, chocolate chips, pretzels, chocolate covered pretzels, variety flavors of M&M’s like peanut butter or pumpkin spice flavors, peanut butter chips, candy pumpkins, cashews, almonds, popcorn or really anything else you like to munch on!

This flexible party mix is great for office, school or daycare parties – as long as you are allowed to bring products with peanuts in them. If not, you can easily omit the peanuts and replace them with another crunchy option (see our list above!)

To serve the snack mix, you can put it in a big bowl or in smaller “dip size” bowls to place around the room or spread out on a table.  I love this pumpkin themed bowl above. Or, if you would like to use the mix as a party favor, you can put small amounts in clear cellophane bags and tie them with pretty autumn or halloween  themed ribbons. Now, let’s get to the recipe!

Easy Candy Corn Snack Mix Recipe

Bag of M&M candies (16 oz)
Jar of Dry Roasted Peanuts (16 oz)
2 Bags of Candy Corn (6 oz)

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients in plastic container with a lid. Store in airtight container.

Sausage Stuffed Jumbo Shells Recipe – Meaty, Cheesy Goodness!

Enjoy Italian food heaven with this Sausage Stuffed Shells Recipe. You can’t go wrong with this delicious recipe. The spices and sauce blend well and leave you begging for more.

Lasagna is a favorite in our household, but sometimes we want something a little different. Once we were invited to some friends house for dinner and the hostess served us Sausage Stuffed Shells. I immediately fell in love at the very first bite. The sausage just takes the pasta dish to a whole new level. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

The Sausage Stuffed Shells Recipe has become a staple in our home. We make sure to keep it in our rotation of regular meals.

Make the Sausage Stuffed Shells Recipe as a Freezer Meal

Finding freezer meals that actually taste good can sometimes be difficult. I recommend if you plan to use it as a freezer meal, to make sure and thaw it properly or it will take forever to cook. I made the mistake of taking out of the freezer at lunch and trying to cook it for supper and it was sort of a disaster! Best case scenario is to place it in the fridge the night before you plan to bake it.

It is a great meal gift! The Sausage Stuffed Shells are also a wonderful meal for someone who just had a baby, a college kid or someone who had a recent death in the family. They can eat it right way or toss it in the freezer for an easy meal later on. Plus, this meal is a little different that the normal casseroles and regular lasagna’s people normally give. People love this meal, so expect lots of compliments and people asking for the recipe.

The thing I love the most about this Sausage Stuffed Shells Recipe (besides the sausage) is the cheese! I love the cottage cheese with the mozzarella and the Parmesan all together. Cheese is literally one of my favorite foods ever. With this recipe, there is plenty of that gooey and delicious cheese to go around.

You can really personalize these by adding or omitting any of the ingredients. You could add other kinds of cheese, mushrooms, black olives or even diced tomatoes. The options are endless!

Easy Homemade Taco Seasoning Recipe – Get Your Tex-Mex On!

Super Easy Homemade Taco Seasoning Recipe

I don’t know about you, but I like to save money by making my own homemade food like this Easy Homemade Taco Seasoning.  In this fast paced world we live in, it’s so easy to just live off of processed food. I am guilty of this from time to time myself. A few years ago, I decided to try to make some of my own seasonings. I was so surprised by how easy it is and how much more flavorful our food tastes!

Easy Homemade Taco Seasoning

My family absolutely loves any food that is Mexican or Tex-Mex. We could live off of tacos and be completely content. Okay, I would still need chocolate to survive, but we could almost survive off of tacos alone! The best part of most of the Mexican dishes I make is that they are inexpensive and I can use my own Homemade Taco Seasoning to save even more money. Most of the ingredients you probably already have in your cabinet, so this is an inexpensive recipe as well!

This seasoning is great because it doesn’t have all the sodium and you know exactly each of the ingredients that goes in it. You can add it to tacos, burritos, enchiladas or any other Mexican dish you can think of. It is also delicious if you add it to some ranch dressing for a little kick!  I would also recommend my sister’s Easy Beef Enchilada Recipe!  Just add 2 heaping tablespoons and 1 cup of water to the browned hamburger and simmer for 5 minutes.

I also love to decorate my kitchen with homemade spices and seasonings. The look of mason jars filled with different seasonings adds a special “homey” feeling and an inviting atmosphere. If you plan to use Mason Jars, you can add easy flip-top lids for quick access.

Another handy option is these glass spice bottles that have a shaker top built in. They are perfect for storing spices and they’re inexpensive too!
