See My Thoughts on the Square Hue Subscription Box

I teamed up with Square Hue to review one of their hue boxes. Now all opinions below are my own.Square Hue

I have been really been obsessed with subscription boxes lately!!!  I came across Square Hue, and I got sent a box to review! It came with 3 nail polishes! You can sign up at Square Hue and they will send you 3 nail polishes each month directly to your front door. Each month will contain different colors for you to try out! Plus they give back, so, automatically, a portion of your monthly subscription is donated to a charity.

Square Hue

I received three beautiful colors on nail polish! Champs- Elsees, Notre Dame, and Arc de Triomphe! All of these colors are very light and nice and shimmery! I was really excited to try them out as I love nail polish. I found that applying one coat you could barely notice it was on my nails. So after applying a few more coats you could finally start to see the nail polish. I was however disappointed because it always looked blotchy and never gave a really nice clean coat on my nails. I tried all three nail colors thinking it could have been just the color itself.

Square HueI took this picture from my phone so the coloring is a bit off. But as you can see on the nails it looks very un-even. Now I want you to know I tried this multiple times on trying to get the color to show even and look nice. It wasn’t just a one time paint job. I truly wanted these polishes to work good and overall I was really let down. Maybe another type of polish that isn’t so shimmery might work better from their line. I would try them again to see if the next line of colors would work better. If not, I would then decide this subscription box might not be for me.

Now their are others who have tried out Square Hue and really like them and rave about them. This is just my take on it, and just because it isn’t for me, doesn’t fully mean it won’t be something you will love!

You can sign up at Square Hue for their subscription box. It is $14.99 a month with a shipping of $5 making it $19.99. Each month you will receive 3 Square Hue nail polishes, and you can cancel your subscription at any time.

You don’t know until you try something, right? I like the idea of these boxes, it’s affordable and you might find your next favourite there.

I have a hard time with certain nail polishes too. Essie, which is a super popular brand, sucks when I try to use it at home, it’s always running and gloppy. Yet at the salon, they use it and it looks great. Go figure!

I love monthly subscription boxes too. But I always feel like every month is a bit of a gamble – I may not always like what’s inside. So far I have been pretty lucky this year.

Subscription boxes are super fun and I love the ideas of nail polish. A girl can never have too much nail polish, right? I appreciate your honesty and agree that some polishes work better for some and not for others.

That stinks that the polish was not really that great quality. I have a hard time keeping nail polish on my nails–it always chips, but I always paint my toes. 🙂

I like the idea of pastel nails for the spring. And thank you for your hones review, and you’re right, just because they weren’t for you doesn’t mean they wouldn’t be for someone else.

The thing is that you’d think they’d put their best foot forward on the first box especially. That’s a little disappointing. The colors are pretty, but it’s irrelevant if the finish isn’t smooth. Bummer. Hopefully the next time will be better!

I’ve tried a few of the SquareHue polishes, and they seem to be hit or miss. Some are great, and some are not. I suppose it’s thatway with most things, though.

I love the colors, but it’s a bummer they didn’t go on well. I wonder if it was just this one though. My niece would love this subscription box. Maybe we’ll give it a try and see how it works out for her.

It’s a bummer that these didn’t work out for you. That’s what I love about subscription boxes that you can try so many products and see what will work for you what wont
