I am in charge of taking desserts to Thanksgiving this year, and I decided to try a few yummy treats I haven’t made before. I have a very easy cheesecake that you can make and then turn them into milk chocolate cheesecake bites.. heaven! Overall, it is a very low-cost recipe as well that doesn’t take too many ingredients as well.
Cheesecake Ingredients:
2 packages of cream cheese (softened) 1 tub of cool whip 2 tbs sugar 1 tsp vanillaChocolate coating Ingredients:
1 1/2 bags of milk chocolate chips (My bags were 11.5 oz) 3 tbs shorteningHow to make:
For the cheesecake portion just toss all ingredients in a mixer (I used my KitchenAid) mix till well mixed and fluffy feeling. Next lay out wax paper on a cookie sheet and then I used a melon scoop and dropped the cheesecake balls onto it.
Once you get all the balls on your wax paper then toss in the freezer for around 1-2 hours so they can harden up.
Then for the chocolate coating – I just tossed in the chips and then shortening. Tossed in the microwave for 30 second intervals stirring each time and when all chips were melted I started dipping the balls into chocolate and then put them right back onto the same wax paper.
They will harden up pretty quick because of the shortening in the chips, which is perfect. Then put on a serving dish and refrigerate until you are ready to serve!
Let me know how you like them if you make them!! Or feel free to pin for later use!
