Mastermind Review – Can YOU Crack the Code?

I loved playing board games as a child (I still do, in fact) and it is so fun to see the resurgence of board games that I used to play! Some games really stand the test of time.

Pressman has been bringing families together through innovative toys and games for generations. Mastermind charmed families in the 80s and is back one again for more family fun! The family will love testing their code-cracking prowess and STEM skills with Mastermind, the challenging game of logic and deduction. Family members will take turns being the Codemaker and Codebreaker. The Codemaker sets a secret code, then the Codebreaker must use their smarts to unlock it. Designed for 2 players, ages 8 and up.

Mastermind Review

My 9-year-old son and I tried Mastermind during one of our many snow days this winter. It was a lot of fun trying to stump each other! It takes some brainpower to analyze each move and determine what the possible combinations could be. After my son and I played a few rounds, my 7-year-old daughter jumped in to take my spot. She had fun with it (although I could tell it was a little challenging for her), but I wouldn’t play it with any of my younger children yet.

Also, my kids seem to think that because all of the pieces are enclosed in a container, that means it’s a travel game that can be taken in the van. Uhhhh, no. With all of the little pieces, you’ll definitely want to keep this at home and out of the reach of little ones that like to stick everything in their mouths (like my 16-month-old).

This is a great game and I highly recommend it. Order your copy of Mastermind today!
