With 4th of July right around the corner I thought it would be fun to make a cute 4th of July Inspired Sign to decorate with using the Sketch Pens from Silhouette! I used the pen to write the words on the paper, then cut out some blue and red stars to add to it! I think it turned out pretty good. I had black and white pens, they do have lots of colors to choose from though in the Sketch Pens!
Using the Sketch Pens in my Silhouette Cameo was really easy! All you do is remove the blade, and replace it with one of the sketch pens. It fits right in, and only takes a second to pop in. Then just pick out a design you want, I used the “Let Freedom Ring” Design ID #61940 in the Silhouette Store.
Then once you get your design the size you want it, you just select the Silhouette Sketch Pen for the cut setting, and replace your blade with choice of pen. Then click start and it will begin to create your design! It is super easy to do, and doesn’t take any more effort then cutting a design!
With the pens I will say depending on the paper, will determine how well it works. I had a red and blue card stock paper that had a little bit of lines on it, the sketch pens didn’t show up very well on them, so using these pens it is best if you use flat plain paper.

I guess it is a plotter, so replacing the blades with a pen should be a natural thought.
