This is the BEST KFC Copycat Coleslaw Recipe! It tastes just like the recipe from the restaurant but freshly made in your own kitchen.
I enjoy coleslaw from time to time. It has been awhile since I have had it, so I thought it was time to make it and I think that this coleslaw turned out wonderful.
I was searching the web for a KFC Copycat Coleslaw Recipe, and found this one! I ended up changing this original KFC coleslaw recipe a little bit.
For the easiest KFC coleslaw hack, I just bought a bag of coleslaw mix rather then chopping up a head of cabbage and carrots. You can do it either way, this just worked for me since I already had it on hand (and saved a bunch of work)!
The KFC coleslaw dressing recipe calls for buttermilk. Of course you can buy buttermilk at the store, but it may not be something that’s just sitting in your fridge! If you’re wondering how you can make a KFC coleslaw recipe without buttermilk on hand, you can very easily make your own buttermilk with this simple trick.
This is such a quick and easy coleslaw recipe, but it does say to let it sit for 2 hours before you serve it. That is pretty important as it will help soften up the cabbage and allow the flavors to soak in. You can always add more salt and pepper to the recipe for more flavor!!
KFC Coleslaw Recipe
Ingredients:
1 bag of coleslaw mix (cabbage and carrot mix) 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup milk 1/4 cup buttermilk (Here is a recipe to make your own buttermilk!) 2 1/2 tbs. lemon juice 1 1/2 tbs. white vinegar 1/2 tsp salt 1/8 tsp pepperHow to Make KFC Coleslaw:
What you will want to do is mix all the ingredients except for the coleslaw/cabbage mix in a bowl. Once it is all mixed you will then add in the cabbage mix into the liquid. Mix well, and then cover the bowl and put in the fridge. You need to let it sit for 2 hours before you serve it.
Hope you guys enjoy this recipe! Like I said very easy and very delicious!! Plus it is pretty cheap to make! Feel free to Pin this recipe on Pinterest!

You don’t have a measurement if a person cuts up their own carrots and cabbage…how many cups of it would a person need? I don’t have a bag and am not close to town thanks
Kelsey says
I would try about 4 cups of shredded cabbage and one large shredded carrot. Hope that helps!
