I love using my crockpot to make dinner in! One of my favorite things to make in it our roasts! They turn out perfect every single time! Sometimes I want to try something new with the roast, to add a new flavor to it!
So I was on Pinterest, my addiction, and found a new recipe to try out! I snagged this recipe from You’re Too Crafty Blog and added my own touch to it! This recipe makes a delicious pot roast, so glad I gave it a go!
Ingredients:
McCormicks Slower cooker Savory Pot Roast Season Packet
McCormicks An Au Jus Packet
A Can of Coca Cola ( You can use Pepsi if you would like)
1 Cup Water
1 Tbs Garlic Salt With Parsley
Roast (I used a Boneless Chuck Roast)
How To Make:
Place Roast in your crockpot. Then in a separate bowl mix the McCormicks Slow Cooker Savory Pot Roast Season Packet and 1 cup water. Once that is well Mixed, pour that over your roast.
Then you can sprinkle the garlic salt with parsley over the roast, and pour the coca cola into the crock pot! Then put the lid on it, and allow it to cook on Low for 8 hours. If you want it to cook a bit longer that is fine, it will help make it more tender!
Then 15 minutes before you are ready to eat the roast, take the Au Jus packet and sprinkle it over the top of the roast. Don’t stir it in or anything, it will help add a crusty texture to the roast, and give it some delicious flavor!!
