Copycat Starbucks Banana Walnut Bread – Easy and Affordable to Make!

Copycat Starbucks Banana Walnut Bread

I love Starbucks, but we live over an hour away from one, which is totally sad! I had to go online and search and search and I finally found a good Copycat Starbucks Banana Walnut Bread recipe to try out.

It turned out really good, and I love the walnuts on top of the bread, it adds so much dimension! It is a lot cheaper to make this vs. buy it, but hey we all gotta splurge every now and again on things to treat ourselves!

If you love their bread or are like me and live too far away, you might want to give this recipe a go! I hope you enjoy it, I know I sure did! I love Starbucks Copycat recipes!!

Walnut Banana Bread

Ingredients:

3 mashed over-ripe bananas (you want it to be about 1 cup mashed)
1/3 cup margarine
2 tbs milk
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups flour ( I used white but you can also use Bread Flour)
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chopped walnuts (divide into 1/2 cups. One goes in the mix and other half goes on top of bread)

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. I used my KitchenAid Stand Mixer for this recipe, but you are welcome to used a hand mixer. I tossed in my banana’s whole and turned the mixer on, it did a great job of mashing up all the banana’s.
2. Once bananas are good and mashed (I use a fork in a bowl and mash), I added in the margarine and sugar, mix well then toss in eggs and milk.
3. I slowly began to add in the dry mix a little at a time. Once it is well mixed toss in 1/2 cup of the chopped walnuts.
4. Once it is well mixed pour into a greased bread pan. Then sprinkle the other 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts on top of the bread.
5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or stick a toothpick in the center of the bread and if it comes out clean it is done. It will be a nice golden brown color. Allow to cool on a wire rack.

NOTE: Depending on where you live and altitude the cooking time can vary.

Copycat Starbucks Banana Walnut Bread Hope you all enjoy this recipe!! It is pretty easy to whip up, and makes a great snack or breakfast!
