I love Starbucks, but we live over an hour away from one, which is totally sad! I had to go online and search and search and I finally found a good Copycat Starbucks Banana Walnut Bread recipe to try out.
It turned out really good, and I love the walnuts on top of the bread, it adds so much dimension! It is a lot cheaper to make this vs. buy it, but hey we all gotta splurge every now and again on things to treat ourselves!
If you love their bread or are like me and live too far away, you might want to give this recipe a go! I hope you enjoy it, I know I sure did! I love Starbucks Copycat recipes!!
Ingredients:
3 mashed over-ripe bananas (you want it to be about 1 cup mashed) 1/3 cup margarine 2 tbs milk 2 eggs 1 3/4 cups flour ( I used white but you can also use Bread Flour) 2/3 cup sugar 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup chopped walnuts (divide into 1/2 cups. One goes in the mix and other half goes on top of bread)Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. I used my KitchenAid Stand Mixer Hope you all enjoy this recipe!! It is pretty easy to whip up, and makes a great snack or breakfast!

Why do you use margarine instead of butter?

That’s just the way the recipe was originally shared with us. BUT, butter works great too.
