My Ruger is a Little Hot Dog This Halloween – Pet Costume

Ruger in Hot Dog Costume

I love my dog Ruger, he is always so full of energy and always wanting to play. Well, with Halloween almost here we thought why not get him a fun costume for this year! Granted, he isn’t a huge people person but he can look cute for us of course :-).

I decided since Ruger is a mini-dachshund I thought a hot dog costume seemed fitting! I got this costume from Costume Discounters! They have tons of costumes for kids, pets, adult, plus size, pet costumes, and much more. I love this store because they offer great prices on their costumes. Since most people only wear a costume a time or two I hate having to spend an arm and a leg on one! One perk I like is they accept Free Returns and they pay shipping. So if you get a costume and it doesn’t fit or isn’t what you are looking for they will pay to ship it back to them. Most stores don’t offer that, so I appreciate they do that.

Pet Costume

Overall, Ruger seemed to do okay with the costume. He kinda was scared of it, but he gets that way with anything I put on him. He is like, why do you do this to me, momma?!  He was a good sport and did some posing for the camera :-D. I thought the costume was made good, it was nice and light. So it wouldn’t be heavy for him to walk around in. I loved the strip of mustard down his back, added a good look to it. The straps helped keep it secure on him. I think I could have went a size smaller cause it was a little loose but that was my fault. He looks so cute as a hot dog, and we are so happy with this company for sure.

Where to Purchase:

I think you would enjoy Costume Discounters because they have tons of costumes to choose from!  Make sure to check out their new 2012 Costumes they have in, lots of good ones. Plus Halloween is right around the corner, so shop away!
