My Daughters and I Love the Blueberry Joovy Room Playard – Our Review

Joovy Room Playard Review Photos

Every parent knows how important a good playard can be!  With 2 children, and family that lives all over, I find my playard even more sacred to me!

The Joovy Room Playard has been a WONDERFUL addition to my family. We recently went overnight to a friends house!  I must admit that this playard was even better than I could have ever imagined!  It literally could be the WHOLE nursery all in one!  We used it for the baby at night time, but we also let my 2 year old nap in it during the day. They both absolutely loved it!  It seemed to be bigger than the average playpen as well, because my 2 year old is getting rather tall to be in a playpen, but she wasn’t cramped for space at all!

The Joovy Room has elevated the playard to a new level. This premier, full-feature nursery center is a bassinet, changing station, and playard all in one. The Joovy Room has exceptional good looks while offering supreme functionality. Parents love its convenience and multi-purpose usability.

Overall Size & Weight
The playpen is a great size. It seems to be big enough to get everything you need inside of it, as well as small enough to still be able to squeeze in between doorways. It also has two built in wheels that are wonderful to use when moving it around, and it makes it much easier. It also folds up very easily and you are able to carry it from place to place with no problem.

Bassinet Level
The bassinet is wonderful. It offers all the wonderful features of the playpen, but in a more easy to reach level!  It also is VERY stable. I previously owned a playpen that every time the baby moved the whole bassinet level would shake. That made me very nervous, but that is not a concern at all with the Joovy Playard.

Playpen
The playpen pad seems to be very comfortable. It is very soft for your child to lay on, as well as some interesting features that I haven’t seen before. On the bottom of the playpen base, there are some holes. On the bottom of the playpen bad there is some velcro. The holes are there for you to be able to put the velcro through and secure the playpen pad. This is a great feature for as much as toddlers move around!

Parent Organizer
This parent organizer is AMAZING. It has 9 compartments that make packing EVERYTHING you need when you are using the playpen easy. There are six large pockets on the end and three smaller containers on the top of the organizer for smaller must haves.

Changing Table
The changing table is EXTREMELY sturdy. It is way more stable and secure than any other playards’ changing tables that I have previously used!  It does hold up to 25 pounds and it has a belt on it to be able to secure your child. The changing table itself secures onto the side of the playard, so you can have it on top, or let it hang onto the side. When you have it in the position on top it has 2 latches on each side, to secure it to the top of the playpen. I have no worries about it falling or not holding my child.

Nightlight & Music System
Yep, you read right!  Can you believe that the playard actually has a built in night light to use at your convenience. The music system is also amazing. You can use it to play nursery tunes, or you can choose to plug in your MP3 Player/Ipod/Cell Phone and sooth your baby with his or her favorite tunes.

My Overall Thoughts
If I would have had this when my daughter was first born, this most definitely would have been my baby’s nursery. It has everything that you could possibly need for a newborn and even more!
I would recommend this for a new mom to use as a nursery, or even a “veteran” mom to use with her older kids!  All the features are amazing, and kids of every age will thoroughly enjoy it!
