Pina Colada Smoothie – Refreshing and Delicious!

pina colada smoothieI love a good smoothie, and with Spring and Summer upon us, why not step out of the basic berry smoothies and try a Pina Colada Smoothie! This is a very refreshing and delicious smoothie, great for all you pineapple and coconut lovers out there!

Doesn’t take to many ingredients and really pretty easy to whip up!

Pina Colada Smoothie Ingredients
Makes two 14 oz smoothies.

2 cups fresh pineapple, diced

2/3 cup coconut milk (I used light)

1/4 cup coconut water

1 banana, frozen

1/3 cup vanilla yogurt

Sweetener or Sugar of your choice, if desired

Pina Colada Smoothie


1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and frothy.

2. Taste and add sweetener, if desired.

3. Serve immediately or store, covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake well before serving.

Notes: To intensify the coconut flavor, you can use all coconut milk in place of the coconut water. If you like a thicker or colder smoothie, you can add some ice when you blend it.

Pina Colada Smoothie

Like I had shared they are super easy to whip up. I am a huge fan of pineapple, and right now they are really fresh and ripe and perfect time to eat them! The other day our store had them for just $0.99, which was a really sweet deal. Another great idea is buying a Pineapple Easy Slicer and De-Corer, which makes coring it super easy and fast!

Copycat Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade

If you love Starbucks and are addicted to their drinks, or like me and live hours away from one, you might be interested in this Copycat Recipe! You can make a Copycat Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade, in your kitchen, on the cheap! We all know Starbucks rocks, but their prices are high! So if you want a fun drink this summer, you might want to try out this recipe!

Very easy to whip up, and you don’t even have to leave your home to get it! Only unless you don’t have all the ingredients on hand ;-)!Copycat Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade



2 Tazo Passion Tea Bags
2 cups water
2 tsp sugar
1/8 tsp vanilla 
1/2 cup Lemonade (I used Simply Lemonade) 

How to Make: 

 1. Bring Water to a Boil
2. Remove from heat and add the two tea bags, sugar and vanilla. Give it a tiny stir.
3. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
4. Remove tea bags and put into a container with a lid, and put in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
5. Once it has cooled and been in fridge, time to make your drink. Add 1 cup tea, and  1/4 cup lemonade, and ice.

This recipe does make more than one drink! So you can just keep the extra tea in the fridge and the Lemonade, and then mix them together when you are craving this drink!

I have to drive a little over an hour to get to our closest Starbucks, so it is nice to have Copycat recipes to make and enjoy when I can’t get to one! I am gonna have to try and make a Java Chip Frap, cause that is my absolute favorite drink from Starbucks!
