Easter No-Bake Nest Cookies Recipe

Easter is almost here, this year is coming up so fast! I received the items pictured below to try out and share my thoughts on! I got some really good Nestle and Wonka candy! I love the Hard Find eggs, which are meant to act more as a camouflage look to make finding eggs a bit harder! Pretty neat, right? I so wish they had these when I was a kid! We always had huge Easter Egg hunts with our cousins at our grandparents house!

I gotta say, those Nerds Bumpy Egg Jelly Beans are amazing! They are so good, and I love the crunch the outside shell has, and with the  jelly bean center makes it so different then any other jelly beans I have tried in the past! So I am gonna make sure to buy these when I see them to have on hand throughout the year :-)! The Wonka Laffy Taffy jelly beans were pretty good as well. They did taste a lot like Laffy Taffy, which I love! The banana flavor wasn’t my favorite, but I normally don’t like banana flavored candy, so others who do would probably like it! Adam was in love with the Butterfinger Eggs, he said they are so good, and better then a normal Butterfinger. I think he has ate most of the bag ;-), and I gotta say he is right they are yummy!

Wonka And Nestle Easter candy

I decided to make this fun Easter Egg No Bake Cookie Nests! They are a switch between the classic birds nest you see around the holiday! I will post the recipe below, in case you want to make these for Easter! They would be fun to have at a party, take to a school event, or just make for the fun of it!

Easter No-Bake Nest Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

1 3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
4 tbs unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
3 cups quick oats
1 tsp vanilla

How to Make:

In saucepan, combine sugar, butter, milk and cocoa in the pan over medium heat. Stir often and allow it to boil. Once it starts boiling let it cook for 2 minutes stirring constantly. Then pull off stove add peanut butter, oats and vanilla. Mix until all items are mixed good. Then scoop onto wax paper or aluminum foil. For the birds nest I used a spoon to push the center of the cookies down a bit so I could put the coconut and jelly beans!

For the Coconut for Nest:

1/3 cup coconut
few drops of green food coloring

In a bowl add the coconut  and a few drops of food coloring. Stir until it covers the coconut and feel free to add more green coloring to get it to the color you need.

Then put a few jelly beans on top, or use Butterfinger eggs, and you’re done! Super easy and too cute!!

These Easter Egg No Bake Cookie Nests were such a hit! Hope you enjoy them if you make them this year!

So cute! They seem fairly simple too, like something I could even make, haha. I love no bakes but prefer peanut butter vs chocolate. Might make that little switch in the recipe I am sure they would still be cute that way. 🙂

These are my favorite cookies. When I was in primary to middle school, the nuns made these for us at least once every two weeks. They were an amazing treat! I like them now but the don’t taste as good as they did then. One of my friend’s moms used to make them for us on holidays as well. I like those candy varieties – saw NONE of them in the store.
