31 Weeks Pregnancy Update

31 Weeks Pregnancy Update

Another week has come and gone, I am just shocked at how fast time is going by! Here is my 31 weeks pregnancy update, on what has been happening and the changes I am going through! I will say this past week has been a bit of a bumpy road. I haven’t felt the best and with packing and getting ready to move and all the added stress has been a bit much, but by the grace of God I am getting through it!

Size of Baby: This week the baby board says he weighs as much as a coconut, and measures over 16 inches long. It also said I should be having more Braxton Hick Contractions lately as my body prepares for labor, and I will say I have been having a lot!

Movement: This little guy has been pretty active, I can tell he is growing away as the movements are stronger and really moving my tummy more. You can see his huge kicks, and movements, which is so neat. Some days he moves so much and other days he is a little less on the movement.

Body and Changes: My bump is growing more and more. I wish I had the energy to take time for pictures to show you, I am hoping next week I can! It has been a rough week with all the Braxton Hick Contractions, aches and pains so I have been a bit lazy. It seems like everyday my tummy gets bigger. My hips have been hurting a lot more, I know it is just the stretching and such it needs to do for labor and delivery. My feet and hands have gotten swollen here and there more often.

Sleep: What is sleep?! Hahha just kidding, sleeping is a bit rough for me lately. I wake up a minimum of 3-4 times a night. It is taking forever to get to sleep and then it isn’t good sleep through the night. There are times I am up for a few hours through the night with either not feeling good or unable to sleep.

Emotions: This has been the worst week I have had so far this whole pregnancy. I have cried a lot, got very emotional and just struggled a lot. I think moving and all that goes with closing on a house, hoping to sell the current house we live in, preparing for labor, is all overwhelming me. Hopefully I can get my emotions a little less of a struggle soon!

Belly Button In or Out: Still in, but super stretched!

Morning Sickness: My morning sickness is coming back a little stronger the past week, which is a little disappointing! I have read your morning sickness can come back in the 3rd trimester and I am feeling it. I have had morning sickness through my whole pregnancy but it has peaked a bit more this past week like how it was in the 1st trimester.

Cravings: Fresh fruit, orange juice, lots of protein, and sweets.

What I Miss: Having energy! Trying to get stuff packed and ready to move is really hard. I wear out super quick and just don’t get much done at a time. BUT I am getting there so it is all ok!

What I Am Looking Forward To: Holding Clay for the first time.

Next Doctor Appointment: August 24th! We have a sonogram in the morning and then doctor appointment right after!

30 Weeks Pregnancy Update + Bump Pictures!

30 Weeks Pregnancy Update

I can’t believe it is time for my 30 weeks pregnancy update, that just boggles my mind! This pregnancy has flown by, it seems like yesterday we found out we were pregnant! We are so so excited to start this new chapter in our lives. We get told all the time to enjoy our lives now, but we have lived a married life for years just Adam and I, so we are looking forward to having our little guy with us to make new memories with, and to love on!

We have been buying some baby items and getting stuff prepped and ready! I can’t believe he is so close to being here. One thing I really wanted was the 4Moms Mamaroo Bouncer , and my sister got it for me! I can’t wait for him to swing in it for the first time!

Thank you all who have been following our journey so far, we can’t wait for you all to get to see little Clay and watch him grow up with us! I know he will be such a blessing in our lives!

30 Weeks

Size of Baby: Clay is the size of a cabbage this week! He is just growing away in there! I think I have felt him have hiccups here and there, which was really cute! It means he is doing exactly what he should in practicing to breath.

Movement: He seems to be very active, he loves to just wiggle around in there various times of the day! It is such a special feeling to be able to feel him moving around and feeling his kicks and movements get stronger and stronger!

Body and Changes: I am just growing away! I haven’t noticed stretch marks yet, but I think they will be coming very soon. The past few weeks my belly has been growing so much more. Been a bit more tired than what I have been!

Sleep: Sleep and I have not been seeing eye to eye. It takes me a long time to get to sleep at night. Then I wake up multiple times a night and sometimes I can’t get to sleep so I stay up for a few hours. But I know it is preparing me for when Clay is here and him being fed and changed and stuff.

Emotions: A lot more emotional now-a-days! But I read that is totally normal. I have been having a little more anxiety as well, but they say that is normal too! It is a huge life change coming up, I worry will I be a good mom, and do things right, and so on. Plus the whole thought of labor and delivery is scary as so many things can happen, the pain you hear about, it is a lot to take in. But I have a good support system to help calm me down if I am freaking out a bit.

Belly Button In or Out: Still in, but super stretched!

Morning Sickness: Being nauseated here and there is still going on. I think it is something to deal with the rest of my pregnancy. It is SO much better than in the beginning, but it is still a struggle! I keep telling myself the end is so close and hopefully soon it will all go away!

Cravings: I have not had any off the wall cravings with mixed foods and such. I just love sweets, fresh fruit, potatoes still, and really wanting cheesecake all the time!

What I Miss: Being able to do stuff and my belly not getting in the way. We are moving and starting to pack and carrying boxes is a little awkward when I try to move it, as my belly is sticking out pretty good!

What I Am Looking Forward To: Holding Clay for the first time. Getting to share that special moment with Adam, and we can meet our son for the first time! I truly am so excited for that moment!

Next Doctor Appointment: August 24th! We have a sonogram in the morning and then doctor appointment right after!

28 Weeks Pregnancy Update – Officially 3rd Trimester!!!

28 Weeks Pregnancy UpdateI am officially in my 3rd Trimester, YAY US!!! I can’t believe we have hit the 3rd trimester, I feel like this pregnancy has flown by! We had my 28 week sonogram appointment yesterday, everything looks really good, he is growing really good, and everything is measuring good, and he is healthy! He weighs 2lbs 14 oz (give or take 2 oz), so that is really good, he still measures a week ahead! It was so nice getting to see him, and boy he has grown so much since our 20 week sonogram we had!

This 28 weeks pregnancy update, has really hit us quickly! We are getting closer to moving so I have that at the end of August and then we have some time to get his room ready in the new home!  Then shortly after we will bring home our little baby boy! I am so very excited for that new chapter for our lives!

Size of Baby: Clay is the length of an eggplant this week! His brain has developed more tissue and formed grooves on the surface. I read he should have more regular of a sleeping pattern. He weighs 2 lbs 14 oz, from what the sonogram showed yesterday! He is still measuring ahead, my official due date is October 22nd, but it shows from sonogram, October 11th. He can also blink his eyes, which is so neat!

Movement: What an active little guy we have, he moves around all the time! He is head down, and that shocked me, his little head and arms are pretty powerful, I thought for sure he was doing ninja moves to my bladder, but now I know it is his head and arms most likely! He will move around when you talk to him at times, which is my favorite thing!

Body and Changes: A lot more pains have started taking place lately! I have been told and read once you hit 3rd Trimester you will feel more pain. My hips and pelvic area have been hurting a lot. I feel pressure as well at times, and it hurts to get up out of bed, and move around at times. Then there are days I am feeling pretty good and not much pain at all. Exhaustion has for sure set in, I get so tired all the time! Some days are worse than others, you can tell my body is in overdrive helping to grow this little guy! Bump is still growing away, I am very blessed even through the pain to be able to experience this blessing!

Sleep: Last night was a rough one, I got up at 1 am and was up all night. I had a lot of nausea and then the feeling like I couldn’t fall asleep. I have been way more tired throughout the days, so some days I just rest as much as I can.

Emotions: I find that I am doing okay for the most part. I think we all have moments where we get anxious about labor and delivery, fear the unknown, or get emotional for no reason! Some days I feel a bit down for no reason, other days I am totally fine, it is just hit and miss!

Belly Button In or Out: It is stretched pretty good but still an inny!

Morning Sickness: Still dealing with the nausea here and there. Last night like I said was a rough one, and today I am feeling it. I am just lounging on couch resting, hoping soon it goes away.

Cravings: I have some low acid Orange Juice from Minute Maid I am loving, Shredded Mini Wheats still! I am kinda getting the craving for mexican food like I did in the beginning, and a weird one is Burger King Whoppers! I am not a huge Burger King fan, so to crave them so much is odd to me!

What I Miss: Being able to shave my legs easily or bend down with ease and not hurt if I move wrong! It is a strange feeling to have to think about your body movement so much!

What I Am Looking Forward To: Meeting our little Clay! After seeing him on the sonogram, I just can’t wait to meet him! Each day we fall more in love with him, I can’t wait to hold him and see who he will look like!

Next Doctor Appointment: August 10th!

27 Weeks Pregnancy Update

27 Weeks Pregnancy Update

Man this week has been a bit busy! I had my Glucose Test on Tuesday to see if I have gestational diabetes, and it came back I am good to go! No gestational diabetes, which is a HUGE relief, I was so worried I had it. We have my 28 week ultrasound next Wednesday, I am looking forward to seeing Clay, and I really am praying he is growing good and healthy! My sister is going to get to go with Adam and I, so that will be fun! I can’t believe it is time for me to share my 27 weeks pregnancy update, these weeks are truly flying by!

I will say the really extreme exhaustion has kicked in, man I am just tired as can be! I can’t even seem to get motivated some days. It takes all I have to shower, and do daily tasks! I can’t believe I am so close to the third trimester! time is just flying by!

Size of Baby: Clay is the length of a cauliflower this week! Man he is really growing in there! His immune system is becoming a lot stronger. His lungs are still practicing breathing amniotic fluid. He will start filling out a lot more in the next few weeks.

Movement: He moves around a lot, mostly in the mornings and mid-afternoons. Sometimes after dinner he will start moving around a lot. When we talk to him, it is so fun to feel him move around, it is like he is responding to us talking to him!

Body and Changes: I am growing more and more. I would have taken a picture to show you, but I couldn’t build up the energy to get around for it! Terrible I know! I have starting having a lot more back pain, pelvic aches and pains, and charlie horses. As my tummy is growing the pain is starting to kick in, I heard around third trimester you will begin to have a lot more aches and pains.

Sleep: I have been really tired lately. I am sleeping a lot harder through the nights. Still waking up multiple times to go to the bathroom or having a little tummy ache. BUT I am starting to think soon I am going to take naps more. I try but can’t fall asleep, despite feeling so tired.

Emotions: Doing pretty good this week, I do find I am getting a little anxious about delivery and labor portion. I find I am having more dreams about it. I have been a bit emotional here and there but we are in the process of buying a new home, a baby on the way, and life continuing so it is a lot all at once.

Belly Button In or Out: It is stretched pretty good but still an inny!

Morning Sickness: Still having moments throughout the day where I have some morning sickness! I think I am one of those women who might have some sickness through the whole pregnancy.

Cravings: Shredded Mini Wheats, is a HUGE one this past week. I can’t seem to get enough of them! I am also wanting orange juice a ton, so I got the lower acid one to help my tummy and been drinking it here and there. It is SO good!

What I Miss: Feeling like I can do normal tasks and not get wore out as soon as I start. I feel like I am impaired a little bit, and can’t do the things I used to. I wish I could paint and such. BUT, I know I am  growing a beautiful baby and it is All worth it!

What I Am Looking Forward To: Going to my sonogram next week. It will be so nice to see our little guy, and see how he is doing!

Next Doctor Appointment: July 29th for  sonogram, and August 10th for Doctor appointment!

26 Weeks Pregnancy Update + Bump Picture!

26 Weeks Pregnancy Update

Wow another week has come and gone! I can’t believe I am getting so close to 30 weeks already! I feel like this pregnancy is truly going by really fast! Each week comes and goes so fast, it is just crazy! I wanted to share my 26 weeks pregnancy update with you guys, like I do each week!

This week has been pretty busy at home. We are looking at buying a new home, and we signed the contract last night! Now today we are headed to the bank to talk to them and get testing and such rolling. August 31st is our closing date, so it is a little ways off.

It makes me nervous being so pregnant and moving then, but I am excited to have a new home for our new chapter of life. We are selling the house we live in, and buying a home in the country! Adam grew up in the country and misses it, town life isn’t for him. The house we are moving to is much bigger, 22 acres of land, has 4 bedrooms, plus an office room, 1 full bath and a partial. It is really nice, and I am sure it will be our forever home! We are excited to have it ready to bring Clay home too!

Latest Doctor Appointment: I had my doctor appointment on Monday, all went pretty well. Clay’s heart rate was 148, which was really good. I did find out while I was there I have an anterior placenta, where the placenta is in front of the baby, vs. behind him. They said nothing to be concerned about. I did read if it is low lying it could cause me not to dilate properly, but that is only if it is really low. I go in on the 29th to get my sonogram for my 28th weeks, to ensure Clay is growing good, since I have SUA. After that appointment we will start doing sonograms every 4 weeks! My sister asked if she could go to a sonogram with us, so she is gonna come this time. She is pretty excited to see little Clay! I can’t wait to see him again, and I pray he is growing good!

Size of Baby: Clay is the length of a green onion or a hot house cucumber this week. The nerves in his ears are developing and are more sensitive than past weeks. He is able to hear our voices when we chat with each other as well. He is also starting to inhale and exhale small amounts of amniotic fluid!  He weighs approximately 1 2/3 pounds right now, how cute!!!

Movement: After hearing I had an anterior placenta, it all makes sense. Sometimes it is harder for me to feel him moving because my placenta blocks his movement. I found laying on my left side or leaning back a bit, I can feel him a lot more.

Body and Changes: My belly is getting bigger, I feel like I am plumping up everywhere. I think my chest is growing a bit more again, so I might need to go shopping for more bras again. I had to get some new tanks as my non-maternity ones were getting a little stretched around my tummy.

Sleep: Doing pretty good on sleeping. I still wake up hungry in the middle of the night or I wake up with a tummy ache. Most of the time I can go back to sleep somewhat easily. The other night I slept 11 hours, I was shocked! That is the longest I have slept in forever!

Emotions: I find I have a bit more anxiety at times lately. Getting closer to due date, has me thinking about delivery! Eeekss, you hear how painful it is, and long for first time moms so I think it is natural to get yourself worked up! I notice if I get extra hot or to hungry I tend to get a little more moody. Poor Adam, at times I think why can’t I just be level on my emotions! Sometimes I want to cry for no reason, it is just a constant wheel of emotions.

Belly Button In or Out: It is stretched pretty good but still an inny!

Morning Sickness: Still struggling with nausea, but it is not NEAR as bad as what it was in the beginning. I am thankful it is not all the time, but I wish it was completely gone!

Cravings: I have really been wanting peaches a lot, banana bread, donuts, corn, crackers, and on occasion ice cream. I am still loving potatoes, and other fruits. No weird combo’s yet.

What I Miss: Being able to move freely. I find if I move one way it hurts my tummy, or I get a stretching pain. It will be nice to be able to move and not have to think about every move I make.

What I Am Looking Forward To: Going in for my sonogram, I am curious to see if he is growing good, and gaining weight like he should. I can’t wait to see how much he has changed on the sonogram from the last one!

Next Doctor Appointment: July 29th for  sonogram, and August 10th for Doctor appointment! Then next week I have to go do my glucose test, so I am gonna be a bit busy the next few weeks on appointments!
