Delicious Cuban Sliders – Mouthwatering!

Cuban Sliders Here is a really tasty recipe for a Cuban Slider sandwich – to switch up your menu! You can use a leftover pork tenderloin to make these sandwiches, or make one just for it. Or replace the pork with turkey or any other meat you want, this recipe is easy, and you can switch ingredients up a little to fit what you have in your kitchen or taste buds!

Cuban Sliders Ingredients

1 Pkg. (12 count) Hawaiian Rolls
½ lb. Deli Ham (8 thin slices)
½ lb. Roast Pork, either from the deli or a thinly sliced roasted tenderloin*, I used the tenderloin
5 slices Swiss Cheese
5 oz. Dill Pickle Relish, drained
Yellow Mustard
Olive oil

Instructions

Aluminum Foil1. Line a pan with foil, wrap foil around the outside of a heavier pan like glass or cast iron. Place in oven

and preheat the oven to 400˚. Careful when placing the pan with the foil on the outside, the foil tears

easily.

Rolls 2. Take Rolls out of the package as a whole unit. Cut into a top and bottom half with a large serrated knife.

Cuban Sliders 3. On one end of the bottom half of the Rolls fold 4 ham slices in half and place the folded edge to the 3

outside edges of the rolls and 1 in the middle, the round parts will overlap in the middle. Repeat on the

other end of the bottom half of the rolls with the other 4 slices.

tenderloin4. Place a layer of the tenderloin medallions on top of the Ham slices.

Foil5. Place the Swiss cheese slices, two at each end, the fifth one cut in half and place in the middle.  Apply mustard to the other side of the bread.

in process86. Place the 5 oz. of Dill relish in a mesh strainer, shake a few times then supporting the mesh with one

hand push down with a paper towel to force out the excess liquid. Sprinkle the relish over the cheese.

Cuban Slider7. Spread the mustard evenly  over the top half of the rolls. Place the 2 halves back together.

in process118. Take the pans out of the oven and brush the foil with Olive oil. Carefully place the rolls in the pan with

the foil on the inside. Place the heavy pan on top to press down on the rolls, give a little push down to

help it.

9. Bake at 400˚ until the cheese is melted and the bread is slightly crispy, 10-15 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let cool until you can comfortably handle it. Cut into individual sliders and

serve hot.

Cuban Slider*Tenderloin- Rub with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, place in oven at 350˚ until an instant read

thermometer reads 145˚, 30-45 minutes. Let cool then refrigerate until ready to slice.

These are a nice and tasty sandwich! Now if you had made a tenderloin the night before, you can use leftovers, or even use turkey in place of the pork if you want! Very versatile sandwich, and just create with ingredients you love!

Cheesy Chicken and Cream Cheese Jalapeno Sandwich

Chicken and Cream Cheese Jalapeno Sandwich

I love trying new sandwich combo’s, and I had some shredded chicken and started to get creative. I am a huge fan of cream cheese and jalapeno’s together! I thought why not make a Cheesy Chicken and Cream Cheese Jalapeno Sandwich! To me it seemed like it would be a perfect combo, and very easy to make! I made chicken and then shredded it, but if you don’t want to you can buy pre-cooked chicken. A rotisserie chicken would work well too!

Ingredients

  • 1 French Bread Loaf
  • 2-3 cups of cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cream cheese block (room temperature)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt with parsley
  • 1 tsp jalapeno juice
  • jalapeno slices (depends on how hot you want it)
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Instructions

  1. First set your oven to 350 degree’s.
  2. Take your French Bread and cut it down the middle length wise for an open sandwich style.
  3. In a mixer combine the cream cheese, garlic salt, jalapeno juice, and maybe 3 jalapeno slices. If you like it hotter you can add more jalapeno slices to mixture. Mix this up till well mixed, and spread on one side of the bread.
  4. Then add a few jalapeno’s on top of the cream cheese for a little more spice, then add some chicken on the other side of the bread, and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top!
  5. Bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes or until cheese is melted. It will make the bread a little crunchy!

Enjoy! Very easy to do, and is something different then a normal sandwich. If you really like spice, you can add more jalapeno’s like I said or even a few drops of hot sauce! I am a more mild girl and don’t like a ton of spice, as my husband does. So I just make his more hot by adding extra jalapeno’s. All You Magazine
