Here is a Really Easy Recipe for Grilled Steak Shish Kabobs!!

Steak Shish Kabobs

There is something about summer that just gets me in the mood to grill out!! My husband’s grandpa built the grill we used, which I think is so neat. We use this grill when we want to cook with wood, it also does great at smoking the meat and giving it more flavor. We have a Green Mountain Grill as well that we use from time to time!

Adam is a grill master!! I am so surprised at how good he can grill as I am still trying to learn how to use the wood grill. Every time he cooks the food comes out perfect, as for me I am still learning on how to regulate the temperature and such. Grilling takes time and practice for sure!!

Last night we decided to grill out and have some family over. So we did Steak Shish Kabobs, Brats, and Hot Dogs! I have to say it was a great dinner and boy were those kabobs delicious!!

They are so easy I thought I would share with you guys in case you were wondering how to make them! Like I said these are so easy and I guess it isn’t fully a recipe as it is a One ingredient marinade for them ;-)! You can always add or take away on veggies, feel free to add chicken, shrimp or whatever your family enjoys to the kabobs!

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lbs Steak (Diced up in Cubes)
  • Italian Dressing (any brand works we used Tuscan -Wishbone Brand)
  • Onions
  • Peppers (we used 3 different ones)
  • Mushrooms
  • Tomatoes
  • Skewers (we used bamboo ones)

Instructions

  1. First off you want to dice up your steak. You can use any kind of steak you want. Just cut into cubes that are a bit bigger than bite size.
  2. Once your steak is cut up place in a gallon ziploc bag.
  3. Pour the whole bottle of dressing in the bag and let it marinade for at least 3 hours. We did ours for a bit longer I think it was around 5 hours before we cooked.
  4. Take your bamboo skewers and place them in a cup full of water or any container. You need to soak these so they get nice and wet. If your sticks don’t fit fully make sure to flip them around. If you don’t have them all the way wet, they will burn up during cooking them. Soak them for about 2 hours or whatever the package says.
  5. Right before you start cooking take all your veggies out and dice them up.
  6. Then you can start putting your meat and veggies on the sticks. You can put them on however you want!
  7. Once we got all the veggies and meat on we ended pouring the extra dressing that the meat was marinating in, all over the kabobs to help get on veggies!
  8. Once your grill is ready to go, place them on and cook until meat is done and veggies look pretty cooked. You will need to flip them of course and just be careful so the sticks won’t break!

There is a close up of the kabobs after they had cooked for awhile! If you use a propane or another type of grill that is totally fine. They will cook the same and you can then regulate the heat better. This is a very easy recipe and the meat had great flavor as did the veggies!

Feel free to Pin on Pinterest and print the recipe for later use!!

I absolutely LOVE Shish Kabobs! We grill all the time, and kabobs are definitely a huge favorite for the entire family. Including the kids!! I let them pick their own veggies and fruit and they become quite excited about it.
